Sparkling White Sangria with Strawberries and Basil

Yield: 10 servings



Simple Syrup:
Add the water and sugar to a small saucepan and bring to a boil over low heat. Stir until the sugar is dissolved and remove from heat. Add the basil leaves and cool the liquid completely; remove and discard the basil leaves.

Combine the Spanish Cava, simple syrup, strawberries and rum.

Serve over ice and garnish with a couple of basil leaves.
